We offer complete design and construction services for residential and small commercial projects. Our shop can accommodate projects such as stairs, large and small scale joinery, furniture, cabinetry, built-ins, doors and architectural brackets.

Gordon Moss owner

The past 17 years has brought him experience in design, construction, and fabrication. Educated as an architect and trained as a builder, Gordon is a registered contractor in the State of Rhode Island and holds a Construction Supervisors License in Massachusetts. He takes on every job with genuine respect for the owner and their surroundings.  

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Design from Kent State University ‘08.

Laura Moss, RA owner

Laura joined Functional Aesthetic in 2015.  She brings experience in both architectural design and construction to the team along with a keen eye for proportion, composition and detail. 

She is a registered architect in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She currently teaches and serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors at Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Waitsfield, VT.

She holds a Masters of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design (2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Northeastern University (2009).
